Deceptively simple, yet radiantly beautiful, this yellow gold brooch with diamonds from Octium jewellery forms part of the Kuwaiti brand’s Sun collection. Designed by Alanood Al Sabah, who owns the business with her husband, the eight-pointed star features a double row of 136 white diamonds set in the rose gold frame. The larger diamonds on the exterior and smaller white diamonds set in the interior give the brooch additional depth, almost like looking through a window in the Alhambra Palace. Minimalistic and mystical, the brooch is very much in line with the recurrent use of geometric designs in Islamic art.
