Most wanted: Chanel Camelia Galbe fine jewellery collection

'The most sought after collection at the moment' is how Chanel introduces its new collection of fine jewellery. A bold assertion, perhaps, but with its smooth ceramics, signature shapes and luxurious curves there is no doubt that women all over the world will be queuing up to get their hands on a piece of the Camélia Galbé collection when it debuts next month.

Mademoiselle Chanel developed a fondness for camellias from the moment she was first given a bouquet by Boy Capel, her lover and muse. The flower has featured in many of the maison's collections, from haute couture and ready-to-wear to shoes and accessories, and is integral to Chanel's fine jewellery range, with a new interpretation created each year.

Launched with an eye-catching campaign, aptly entitled WANTED, the collection of 12 monochrome pieces, including rings, bracelets, earrings and pendants, is dedicated to Gabrielle Chanel's favourite flower, the camellia. Bold and sophisticated, the ceramic flowers come in only two colours - black or white - set in white gold and embellished with diamonds.
