Cate Blanchett Oscars jewel choices

What jewels will Cate Blanchett wear to the Academy Awards 2014? We look at her jewel choices over the past two years, including Chopard and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Cate Blanchett will step out onto the red carpet at the Academy Awards 2014 and all eyes will be on the actress who has already picked up a Screen Actors' Guild award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for her role in Blue Jasmine. Will she win an Oscar as well? And more importantly, what jewels will she be wearing to the Oscars 2014.

Looking back at what Cate Blanchett has worn over this awards season, her choices have been limited to Chopard. She wore a large Chopard necklace to collect her BAFTA with three diamond bird. She also wore a Chopard ruby cuff and brown diamond briolette drop earrings to collect her Screen Actors' Guild award. And again it was Chopard that she chose for the Golden Globes. She made an eco-statement by wearing the latest pieces from Chopard's Green Carpet collection created using Fairmined gold and ethically sourced diamonds, a project the Genevan jeweller has undertaken with the help of Livia Firth's Eco-Age initiative.

Last year Cate Blanchett was spotted wearing Van Cleef & Arpels, both vintage and contemporary. At the Academy Awards in 2011, Cate Blanchett wore vintage Van Cleef & Arpels while for the premiere of Blue Jasmine last year she chose a pretty set of contemporary Socrates jewels from the same jeweller. So what will it be for the Oscars 2014? It looks like Cate Blanchett is on a winning streak and if she is such a Chopard girl, what would happen if she weren't the only nominee in Chopard jewels? We will have to wait and see.
