CHANEL: HARRODS Fashion Ephemeral boutique

Chanel fans: be sure not to miss the Chanel-ification of Harrods from shop windows to boutiques stocking limited edition London-themed products and a recreation of Madam Chanel's world. But get there before the magic world of Chanel is conjured away. Chanel and Harrods have come together to create the ultimate Chanel junkie's fix. Walk past any of the emporium's Brompton Road windows and the fantastical world of Chanel's last ready-to-wear collection is played out in elaborate fairy-tale-like sets featuring fox-men and princesses. Walk in the store and you can't miss one of the two Chanel pop-up boutiques selling London-themed Chanel products. I loved the Harrod's green Chanel biker boots and a chic take on the classic Harrods tote with a Parisian twist. And it looks like I am not alone as limited edition stock is evaporating off the shelves. You can have a make-over and chose from limited-edition Chanel make up palettes or saunter over to the fine jewellery room to see a magnificent array of swoon-inducing Chanel gem-set watches and exquisite jewels. If that weren't enough, past interlocking C's and lion's heads emblazed across the shop, on the 3rd floor Madame Chanel's sources of inspiration have been brought to life in a  'journey' through the wonderful world of Coco called 'Une Promenade'. Pass through the pearl curtains and you are transported to world where camellia trees bloom eternal, watering cans are upholstered in Chanel leather (bien sur), quilted handbags become as large as cars and little Gabrielle dolls are dressed in the latest couture creations. Not to be missed but hurry, as this amazing display of Chanel-o-mania is only around until the 25th September. Open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm
