Actress Jessica Chastain was guest of honour at a glamorous cocktail party hosted by Bulgari last night, 17 June 2013, to celebrate the opening of its 26th boutique at Shanghai L'Avenue Mall in Shanghai, China.
Visiting the city for the first time as the invited guest of the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival, Chastain wore earrings and a bracelet from Bulgari's High Jewellery collection.
The new boutique has been designed to reflect the brand's Italian roots, with a Murano glass chandelier and richly coloured gris pulpis and Trani marble features, sourced from the Mediterranean. An exclusive VIP area has been created so that customers can browse Bulgari's most precious creations in complete privacy.
During the event the Golden Globe award-winner spoke of her appreciation of Bulgari jewellery: "I have just attended the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Cleopatra, in which Bulgari also plays an important role. I like Bulgari jewellery very much - I think each piece of Bulgari jewellery represents the brand's spirit and its relentless pursuit of excellence."
