Two years in the making, this striking necklace by Italian jeweller Vhernier offers a new way of wearing diamonds in the lightest of jewels. Using innovative technology, blue titanium is folded into ripples to form diamond-crested waves. In total there are 2,262 diamonds set into this necklace weighing 14.45 carats, which sparkle against the velvety, soft sheen of the titanium. This very contemporary necklace is a fascinating coming-together of material technology, design and craftsmanship for a futuristic take on high jewellery. It took over 200 hours of work to make the necklace, with each wave seamlessly hinged to the other for a flowing whole.
