Louis Vuitton is a relative newcomer to the world of haute horlogerie, but the French maison is already making a name for itself with its interesting complications paired with distinctive designs. The new Louis Vuitton Tambour Twin Chrono watch shows a brand flexing its muscles and proving to the world it is serious about watchmaking. Contained within the 47mm white gold case is a unique new complication - a dual chronograph and differential display - created with yacht racing in mind. The America's Cup returns in 2013, and with it the associated Louis Vuitton Cup, and the new Tambour Twin Chrono watch - limited to 30 pieces - was created to celebrate the occasion. While it was designed specifically for timing a head-to-head yacht race, you don't have to be a seafarer to appreciate the original design and mechanical engenuity contained within this impressive timepiece.
