Pomellato Stile Libero high jewellery

Freedom reigns in Pomellato's Stile Libero high jewellery collection launched July 2026

Pomellato has been making stylish, sleek and refined jewellery in Milan since 1967, but only ventured into high jewellery in 2020 with La Gioia, making Stilo Libero its sixth haute joaillerie collection.  Committed to its founding philosophy of prêt-à-porter jewels, the house didn't think of gathering its one-off, highly precious jewels into a collection, until La Gioia, and has not looked back.

Unveiled in Paris at its rue Faubourg Ste Honoré showroom, Pomellato was once again rubbing shoulders with the great names of Place Vendôme, such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Mellerio dits Meller, and the diamond powerhouses of Graff, De Beers, and David Morris.

Haute joaillerie, unlike haute couture, is not bound by formal regulations, but is defined by one-off jewels of design excellence, executed in the most precious materials to the highest level of craftsmanship: in other words, the crème de la crème of a jeweller's annual output.  While each house has a recognisable style, haute joaillerie overall veers towards the spectacular, formal, and made for display.

Pomellato confidently entered this rarified milieu with sprezzatura, cutting a dash with its easy-to-wear, bold, tactile jewels that want to have fun and hit the dance floor.  Rather than dream up a narrative each year- think Cartier and Van Cleef's themed collections- Pomellato's high jewellery is a highly glamorous extension of its trademark style.

Ease of wear is ingrained in the concept: long necklaces that slip over the head, swaying tassels that light up the night, chunky rings with attitude, and a rainbow of precious gemstones that bring unbridled joy.  The humble chain link is elevated to new heights in outsized volumes and lavished with diamonds, a jewel that could grace the red carpet as easily as it nestles into a cashmere polo neck.

Such confidence is a Pomellato trait, as the house never wavers from its sophisticated, minimalist Milanese design roots.
