And none more unexpected than Autore's Fire and Ice collection that takes us back to the prehistoric bubbling and oozing of volcanoes cooled by ice. Autore, is one of the largest South Sea pearl companies in the world and based in Australia. Few understand the magic of pearls like this house whose Fire and Ice collection shows just how far you can go to banish the twinset and double strand of pearls cliché. In designer Alessio Boschi's hands pearls become fascinating creations,  bubbles of beauty set amongst richly-hued gemstones that ripple, burn and drip with life.
