Margot McKinney

Jewellery royalty in her home country of Australia, Margot McKinney is a fourth-generation jeweller whose creations are a joy to behold. Inspired by her love of travel and the vivid colours she encounters on her exotic adventures, she has a soft spot for gems native to Australia, including opals and South Sea pearls, combining them with coloured stones to create bold statement pieces, each of which tells a story. She draws real pleasure from seeing women wearing her jewellery, and many of her customers become collectors of these wearable works of art.

SkyDiamond

Dale Vince, the environmentalist and CEO of UK based green energy provider Ecotricity, has launched in October 2020 a new technology that manages to extract carbon out of the sky and transform it in fully certified diamond recognised by the International Gemological Institute. SkyDiamond is the first zero impact diamond - it’s also carbon negative, making the air cleaner by using the carbon from the atmosphere to create the stones. It uses the wind and the sun to provide all the energy requested for the transformation and the water used is captured rain.

Emmanuel Tarpin is a young jeweller from Annecy in France who has fast risen to fame thanks to his sensitive and highly detailed designs, often inspired by flowers and made using gold and gemstones as well as coloured anodised aluminium. One of his first works was sold by Christie's in New York in 2017 giving him international recognition.

After working as an investment banker for many years, in 2008 Swiss-born Nadine was at last able to pursue her passion for jewellery making, and took courses in gemmology and jewellery design before releasing her first collection.

Lalaounis

An expert in Greek antiquity, Ilias Lalaounis spent his lifetime breathing new life into iconic jewellery designs from the key periods of Greek history. Combining ancient goldsmithing techniques with modern-day jewellery-making technology, he worked primarily in gold, creating pieces that honoured the aesthetics of the originals, made wearable for modern-day life. Lalaounis passed away in 2013, but his designs live on in the highly collectible jewels he has left behind. In you are in Athens, there is a museum devoted to his work near the Acropolis, which is a must-visit for jewellery fans.

From an early age, designer Alex Soldier had a flair for sculpture and painting, which later complemented his move into jewellery design. Over the years, his unconvential approach and artistic abilities have led to the creation of an extensive line of conceptual jewels, which have earned him many awards. His understanding of metal and gemstones, and his temptation for the unusual, allows Alex Soldier to create unique pieces of fine jewellery.
