Matthew Campbell Laurenza launched the M.C.L fine jewellery label in 2007 and his bold statement jewels are a favourite of Hollywood stars. This sterling silver Orbit bangle with amethysts has a dark neo-Gothic feel to it thanks to the black rhodium plating. The top two rows of individually selected and hand-set amethysts are separated from the bottom two rows by a band of purple glitter enamel, which sparkles like the lights of the Starship Enterprise. As with practically all his creations, the silver setting of the bangle has been hollowed out on the interior to make the piece as lightweight as the 15.72 carats of amethyst gemstones can possibly allow.
