Butterfly bi-coloured tourmaline necklace

German-born Irish-based master jeweller Rudolf Heltzel has used two pieces of near-identical bi-coloured tourmaline carved into the form of wings to create this unusual butterfly necklace. Each of the wings has been tipped with a bezel-set white round brilliant diamond. At the centre of the butterfly design, marquise-cut and round pink sapphires create the elegant creature’s body, head and antennae. The butterfly rests on a solid 18 carat yellow gold articulated necklace that follows the form of the collar bone.
