These dashing green agate and silver earrings are from Matthew Campbell Laurenza’s M.C.L collection of fine jewellery, and capture the bold, colourful style of the American designer. The M.C.L gem drop earrings combine deep green agate gemstones of different sizes set against the black rhodium-plated silver setting, which has been enhanced with black enamel glitter detailing. All the stones are selected and hand-set at the designer’s jewellery workshops in Thailand where he oversees every last detail of his creations. The dark, highly textured background lends the earrings a Gothic touch contrasted with the vibrant green gemstones. With clients ranging from Lady Gaga to Meryl Streep, M.C.L is most definitely statement jewellery.
