A trained engineer, Lorenz Baumer's jewellery is inspired by poetry, architecture and nature. Graduating from École Centrale Paris in 1988, he took the unusual path of jewellery designer. Collaborating with top jewellery houses such as Chanel and, currently, Louis Vuitton, he launched his eponymous collection in 1995, opening his flagship store at the epicentre of fine jewellery, Place Vendôme, in the summer of 2013. With particular interest in geometry and architecture come these onyx and white gold cufflinks. The monochrome cufflinks feature a perfectly spherical, glossy onyx, with a total gemstone weight of 14ct, encased in a cage of white gold and fastened with a torpedo clip. Fascinated by the transformative nature of jewellery, each piece that Lorenz Baumer designs reflects his irreverent and unique style, which permeates throughout his made-to-order pieces and his acclaimed jewellery collections.
