As a trained gemmologist, Kara Ross’ love for gemstones in their raw, organic form shines through in every piece she creates for her eponymous jewellery brand. Based in New York, Kara has won several awards including the 2014 GEM Award for Design and, in 2013, she opened her first store on Madison Avenue where she sells jewellery along with her collection of handbags and table top decorations. Named after the Latin word for snake, these Hydra earrings feature a curved line of diamonds that evokes the movement of a serpent, and contrasts the lilac amethyst with yellow gold.
