An elegant and timeless minute repeater from the IWC Portugieser watch family. With the iconic 44mm rose gold Portugieser case, this IWC watch features a silver-plated dial. Central hour and minute hands, and applied rose gold Arabic numerals indicate the time, with a hacking seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock. The minute repeater function is operated by depressing the repeating slide button on the right side of the case. Only sounding when the slider is pressed and with sounds that took 50,000 hours to perfect, the hours are marked by a slow strike and the quarters with a double chime, while a high-pitched gong sounds out the minutes. The in-house developed, mechanical, hand-wound hunter pocket watch movement, calibre 98950, has a 46-hour power reserve and is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. Worn on the IWC signature brown, Santoni alligator leather strap, this IWC Portugieser Minute Repeater is limited to 500 editions.
