Drawing on its long-standing tradition of creating timepieces for royalty, the Breguet Perle Impériales watch is shaped like a crown, punctuated with a regal white pearl. Breguet watchmakers and master-jewellers draw inspiration from the prestigious women whose names have historically graced its order books, such as Marie-Antoinette, Caroline Murat - Queen of Naples - and Empress Joséphine. When viewed in profile, the white gold case set with 23 brilliant-cut diamonds around the oval-shaped bezel looks like a crown, with an Akoya pearl delicately perched at 6 o’clock. The mother-of-pearl dial has been engine turned to create a delicate embroidery pattern, offset with four diamond hour markers. Yet it’s not all about looks, the numbered and signed Cal. 586/1 self-winding movement of this Breguet watch has a 38-hour power reserve, in-line Swiss lever escapement, and Breguet balance on a silicon spring.
