This juicy pendant from Genevan jewellery house Avakian dangles provocatively from the neck, its reassuring weight and volume a constant companion. Named for the Italian for apple, the Mela comes in a variety of gem settings, but this one is perhaps the most dramatic. 12.37 carats of black diamonds are set into white gold to create glossy shimmer on the entire surface of this plump fruit. Swirling patterns in white enamel add a decorative element to this original jewel.
