Jaeger-LeCoultre La Rose jewellery watch
by Maria Doulton

Jaeger-LeCoultre La Rose diamond and sapphire watch shone at the 67th Venice Film Festival. A miniature hand-wound movement is tucked in amongst luxuriant petals of snow-set diamonds and pink sapphires. Meticulous craftsmanship with gem-setters working through microscopes are the secret behind the delicate shimmer of the irregular snow-setting technique. The mechanical movement is a jewel in its own right with its components so small that many are barely visible to the human eye and assembled by hand by master watchmakers. The Squadra Reverso Art with its explosion of jewellery fireworks on both the dial, the reverse of the case and the watch strap  is another treat for women who love mechanics as much as beautiful stones.
