Venasho Phiri is a Zambian bench jeweller and goldsmith at Jewel of Africa, a Lusaka-based fine jewellery house. In 2025, he won the Expert Category of the “It’s All in Our Hands” competition at GemGenève for his “Sleeping Tree” pendant—a 14-carat gold design set with multicoloured gemstones, each representing a fruit of the tree. The piece reflects themes of growth and abundance, drawing inspiration from nature and African storytelling traditions.
