Maria Doulton: Today I'm with Dior in Paris and I've come to see Victoire de Castellane's new high jewellery collection called Le Bal Des Roses. The theme is, as the name suggests, roses which is a reoccurring motif in the house of Dior because it was Mr Dior's favourite flower.

It's been launched at the same time as the fashion show which is why at the rosetta diane all around me are the fashion world. But I've come to see the jewels so come with me and hear what Victoire has to say about this new high jewellery collection.

Victoire de Castellane: The rose in the emblematic flower of Dior, so I love the idea of the roses are like women who just get dressed for a ball and it was the idea of mixing imagination, the high jewellery and the couture. Haute couture mixed together.

I use a mix of hard stones like opal, blue opal, green opal, golden opal, chrysoprase, chalcedony, and diamonds. All those roses are living the moment with different emotions.
