Bracelets have been big this year, so picking our favourites from 2014 was no easy task. Arguably one of the most memorable jewels of 2014, launched at September's Biennale des Antiquaires, the Dior Bar en Corolle emerald bracelet is part of the luxury house's Archi Dior high jewellery collection, inspired by Christian Dior's architectural approach to fashion design.

Tiffany's Blue Book is always a sight to behold and this year's colourful offering was no exception. The collection included a beautiful Tiffany bracelet, based on a design from the jeweller's archives, in a riot of sunny hues.

At the more monochrome end of the colour spectrum, Chanel tapped into the trend for statement bracelets with the dramatic and decadent Midnight cuff featuring black onyx and diamonds.

Another cuff that deserves a mention is the Boucheron sapphire bracelet from the highly acclaimed Rêves d'Ailleurs collection. Inspired by an Indian water lily, delicate diamond encrusted petals open up to reveal a sapphire cabochon pistil.

We also saw some more delicate designs with an exquisite attention to detail such as the ethereal Boodles Sea Star bracelet with its enchanting combination of white and pink diamonds.

Finally, when it comes to understated elegance, there is not much that beats a jewel covered entirely in classic white diamonds. A twinkling rhapsody of brilliant, pear and baguette-shaped white gems dance around the wrist in this elegant diamond bracelet from Graff's Rhythm collection
