Dior's new Cher Dior collection of fine jewels is an explosion of colour designed to delight and intrigue, just what you would expect of Victoire de Castellane.

Last year, Creative Director of Dior jewellery and watches, Victoire de Castellane, brought us the explosive colours of Dear Dior, a jewellery collection that quite literally exploded into the world. This year sees the arrival of Cher Dior, which lands with crater-forming impact and sets the needle of the Richter scale off on a quivering frenzy.

Maverick de Castellane continues the theme of mixing up exotic influences as diverse as Mughal and Russian and dreams up a new galaxy of potently coloured jewels that beam out like messengers from another world, where impossibly bright Fanta orange is best friends with peppermint green and hot raspberry pink.

These cleverly constructed jewels layer stones upon stones to create mesmerising effects that astonish with their colourful pyrotechnics. For all their kerpow, these jewels are carefully crafted little works of art. Even the back of each jewel is beautiful. In contrast to the frenzy of colour, the metal openwork on display on the back of each piece echoes patterns from Dior's archive of lace designs, which de Castellane pored over when conjuring up these jewels.

Dive in and drink up the technicolor world of Dear Dior - you won't often see jewels such as these.
