British designer Annina Vogel unveils Victorian Engravings collection inscribed with iconic quotes

Available exclusively at Liberty in London, Annina Vogel's Victorian Engravings rings and necklaces are made from Victorian gold and engraved with famous quotes

London-based jewellery designer Annina Vogel recently unveiled her new Victorian Engravings collection at Liberty, the capital's historic department store on Regent Street. Tapping into today's trend for nostalgia, each piece is inscribed with a quote or saying by an iconic figure, bringing history into a modern context.

Renowned for creating completely unique pieces, each of Annina's Victorian Engravings jewels is made from original Victorian gold, reconditioned and reworked into fashionable, easy-to-wear creations. Gold signet rings and pendants with delicate chains are hand-engraved with humorous sayings from famous authors, poets and even royalty, including Queen Elizabeth, Charlotte Brontë and Oscar Wilde, who famously uttered the phrase "every saint has a past, every sinner has a future", which Vogel has engraved onto one of the rings in curling, antique-style script.

Her highly individual creations have garnered Vogel a host of high-profile followers, including Kate Moss, Cara Delevigne, Alexa Chung and Keira Knightley. Since launching at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Jessica Parker and the fashionable Fanning sisters have also become fans.

The perfect present at any time of year, in the run-up to Christmas Vogel will be joined by an on-site engraver at Liberty, who can customise a piece with the quote of your choice at no extra cost.

Help us make the future bright

Since founding The Jewellery Editor in 2010, we have grown our digital magazine to be the number one global source of information and inspiration for fine jewellery and luxury watches.

3,500 articles, 150 videos with over 5 million views and a reach of over 2 million per month on social media later, we have offered unparalleled and highly respected coverage of our sector. However, despite our editorial success, we are financially struggling as an independent publisher.

Entirely funded, owned and run by Christine and Maria in London, we are now looking to sell The Jewellery Editor so that it can continue to grow. As e-commerce becomes a priority in our industry, we believe there is huge potential for engaging editorial content and are seeking a buyer who shares our values and passion so that under their guidance we can give a bright future to the platform and help us grow our business to the next stage.
