The introduction of the Patek Philippe World Time Chronograph Ref. 5930G marks a new era for the renowned Swiss brand, making it the first timepiece to combine a world timer and a chronograph since the 1940s. The World Time Chronograph has a stunning blue opaline dial featuring a hand-guilloched decoration. A moving city disk displays the place names that represent each of the 24 international time zones, alongside a moving 24-hour ring on which the time is indicated for the city that stands directly above it. This Patek Philippe watch faced the challenge of combining two different movements - the new mechanical CH 28-520 HU movement and the self-winding CH 28-520 PS chronograph calibre with column-wheel control and a vertical clutch - all within its 39.5mm white gold case, which is a mere 12.95mm thick. This compact complication compromises nothing on quality, and endures months of rigorous testing to verify its long-term dependability and accuracy.
