From Paris, with love

These women's watches from five famous French brands recreate five different moods, each one an incarnation of the chic, cosmopolitan vibe of Paris.

  • Nature in the form of diamond-set ivy leaves sprouts from the cobblestone streets of Paris, represented by rough diamonds in this luxurious tourbillon watch by Boucheron (POA).
  • A 1949 Cartier brooch made for the Duchess of Windsor was the inspiration behind the Panthère Royale watch. Majestically guarding the time, the panther rests his lithe body against a mesmerising background of diamond-set circles (£95,000).
  • Chanel illuminates the case of its Première watch with 22.70 carats of diamonds. Fitted with a skeletonised manual-winding movement in the shape of a camellia flower, the watch is set with diamonds on the case, bracelet and movement (£390,000).
  • Inspired by a collection of jewellery, the Bouton d'Or watch by Van Cleef & Arpels uses overlapping yellow gold sequins studded with diamonds to create the slinky yellow gold bracelet (POA).
  • The Nantucket, with its classic anchor-chain motif, is revisited by Hermès in this diminutive rose gold, gem-set model with a white mother-of-pearl dial, presented on an ultraviolet alligator strap (£10,800).
  • Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Night & Day Medium in yellow gold
