  • Chanel J12 38mm watch
    Originally conceived as a watch for men but “stolen by women”, Chanel’s hugely successful J12 may be one of the newest but it has managed to establish itself as a design icon (£3,575).
  • Hermes Cape Cod burnt orange watch
    The Hermès Cape Cod watch is an absolute classic, and fans will appreciate the allusion to the Maison’s famous 1930s anchor chain bracelet with its split-oval links. The wraparound Barenia calfskin strap in burnt orange is butter-soft, making it a pleasure to wear (£1,800). 
  • Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso back and front
    Originally a men’s watch designed for wear during polo games, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is one of the most recognisable watches of all time. Like many Art Deco designs, the clean lines and deeply etched stripes at either end of the case have remained elegant and desirable (£11,600).
  • Patek Philippe Nautilus - blue dial
    Affectionately known as the Jumbo because of its protruding ears, Patek Philippe's Nautilus was designed in 1976 as a luxury sports watch and adapted for women four years later. This Nautilus model comes in a stainless steel case with a blue opaline dial and diamonds (£16,340).
  • Bulgari Serpenti turquoise and diamond watch
    The Serpenti may have changed its skin many times with different jewels and precious metal guises, but these Bulgari watches are always recognisable and have established themselves as icons in the world of women’s watches (POA).
