Piaget made its first foray into jewellery watches in the 1960s, and this year it is celebrating this sparkling milestone in its history with a new collection of watches that recapture the glamour of this fashionable decade.

Launched earlier this year at the SIHH, the new Limelight Gala timepieces blend art, design and jewellery in a collection of shimmering jewellery watches. Seductive contours and radiant diamonds combine in a voluptuous silhouette, the face encircled by diamonds that extend beyond the bezel and hug the strap. From the classical elegance of a Limelight Gala in white gold with black satin strap to the high-voltage brilliance of the Limelight Gala set with diamonds around the bezel and fully pavéd on the dial, bracelet and clasp, the Limelight Gala is captivating.

Created entirely in-house at Piaget, from first sketch to finished case, each bejewelled timepiece honours the traditional house style. In keeping with the glamour of these new watches, Piaget recently called upon its Brand Ambassador, Gong Li, to model the new Limelight collection. Portraying beauty, femininity and grace, the Chinese actress is the perfect Limelight Gala muse.
