Dior’s Haute Couture watches are in vogue

I did say I was taken with Dior's idea of watches inspired by catwalk creations so as the last in the series, here is the crème de la crème of the maison's frock-fuelled dials. All are one of a kind, just like haute couture.

Dior Haute Couture. Close up - PASSAGE N¯3

I did say I was taken with Dior's idea of watches inspired by catwalk creations so as the last in the series, here is the crème de la crème of the maison's frock-fuelled dials. All are one of a kind, just like haute couture. Dior's haute couture salon overlooking Avenue Montaigne in Paris is a grey and white temple to indulgence. Sit on one of the white, spindly legged chairs or sofas and admire the billowing couture creations hanging on racks around the show room. A little dog sits obediently under the desk of the receptionist enjoying the plush dove grey carpet and the hum of the road below is muffled by the thick drapes over the french windows. As light as wisps of air, the haute couture gown is Dior's crowning achievement and the work of the 30 or so seamstresses working on the floors above. It is this world that has inspired Dior's haute couture watches and each one-off watch echoes a gown or an outfit from past seasons. And the best thing is that these watches don't go out of fashion and last well past the season.
