This unusual engagement ring from Fairtrade gold specialist Sorrel Bay has been set with a pear-shaped, rose-cut diamond. The darkly coloured 2.5ct diamond has certainly not been selected for its clarity, but instead for the character of its heavy, natural inclusions that offer a truly unique gem. To add a bit of sparkle, the band has been set with 20 brilliant-cut white diamonds. The gold used to create the ring, which sits flush to the finger, is Fairtrade 18ct yellow gold. The ring is made by hand to order at Sorrel Bay’s workshop in Britain.
