From Ressence, the watch brand that displays the time without hands, the Type 5 Dive Watch is an ideal underwater companion for fans of cutting-edge design. Fully accredited as a dive watch (meeting official ISO 6425 standards) the organic design of this amphibious watch was inspired by the silhouette of sea turtles. The 46mm titanium case is exceptionally light and weighs just 87g and instead of protecting the watch against the pressure exerted by water with a huge case and thick glass, Ressence has introduced oil into the watch. A world-first for a mechanical watch, the oil compensates for the pressure and keeps the components lubricated and suspended in a liquid environment. In addition to the advantages of suspending the watch in an oil bubble, the oil offers perfect legibility of the dial whatever the angle. The rotating dive bezel frames the original dial with the hours, seconds and oil temperature gauge placed in revolving discs, which in turn orbit inside the main disc of the minute display. Blue and green SuperLumiNova is used for key indications, visible at depths of 100 metres.
