Louis Vuitton has been involved with the world’s most prestigious sailing competition since 1983 and is the sponsor of the America’s Cup World Series - and all the following stages of the race - leading to the final in Bermuda in June 2017. As a loyal patron boasting one of the longest partnerships in the world of sports, Louis Vuitton’s luxury men’s watches reflect the exciting world of sailing. The Tambour Regatta Navy model is rigged with an all-important regatta countdown function. The countdown can be set anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes and acoustically signals the start of the race. Chronograph functions are activated by the pushers on the 44mm stainless steel case, and the handsome navy blue dial is intersected by a large V taken directly from Louis Vuitton’s historic Steamer Bag logo. Powered by a Swiss quartz movement - which means no winding - the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and comes on a black rubber strap.
