To maintain the traditional crafts employed by the watchmakers, the firm is committed to training and apprenticeship program, particularly necessary in the arcane art of engraving. The movement of each and every Lange & Sohne watch is decorated with hand-engraved flourishes. The firm only uses precious metals for its cases and this model is in rose gold and has a solid silver dial. The sober, slim hands are also in solid gold and the Calibre xxxx is a very traditional hand-wound movement. The amount of power remaining in the spring barrel is indicated by the up/down style indicator on the dial.
