Swallows Under Rain enamel and diamond pendant

This three-dimensional pendant by Ilgiz F traps fleeting swallows in a diamond downpour. Beneath clouds of diamonds and blue sapphires fall strips of diamond-set white gold, each made of at least three individual components to promote a flurry of movement. The four birds have been hand-painted with blue and beige vitreous enamel, and appear to swoop between the drops. More than 525 stones have been set by hand into this design – 3.45 carats of white diamonds and 0.34 carats of sapphires. The pendant could be strung on a soft grey silk chord or a more traditional chain, and there are matching earrings for those who prefer a set.
