The Chanel Les Éternelles Signature Morganite Secret Watch is inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic matelassé - or quilted motif - pattern, taken from the world of horseracing for her legendary 2.55 handbag. Originally launched at Paris Couture Week 2016, and displayed with pride at Baselworld the same year, the Signature Morganite Secret Watch and its counterpart the Signature Diamond Secret Watch, both appear as part of the Signature de Chanel high jewellery collection. The watch incorporates the famous quilted pattern in a bejewelled white gold bracelet, created from rounded squares set with diamonds. A central 43.66ct pink morganite cabochon can be lifted to reveal the tiny hidden dial that is embellished with round diamonds. Chosen to receive the Jewellery Editor Award for Best Secret Watch at Baselworld 2016, this outstanding timepiece is worthy of a standing ovation.
