Not your traditional Spanish jewellers by any stretch of the imagination, the partners behind Fariña y Almuzara have decorated the boutique with spectacular pieces of amber from the Baltic Sea, chunks of semi-precious rocks, and vases of fresh flowers. Its forte is large, contemporary, eye-catching jewellery that appeals to some of Madrid’s most stylish society women.

As José points out, the “impact factor” is very important, and some clients will come to them with a particular evening dress and ask them to advise on jewellery. Other clients bring in their precious stones and Ignacio will sketch a design or interpret their ideas. Colour is a predominant force at Fariña y Almuzara, and unusual materials such as rough semi-precious stones are juxtaposed with more traditional diamonds and emeralds.

Located in the smart and trendy Barrio de las Salesas, renowned for its small, intimate boutiques and just two blocks from the Paseo de Recoletos, Fariña y Almuzara owes its success to word-of-mouth referrals exclusively.

Why visit? Why visit?

You won’t find these designs anywhere else and at Fariña y Almuzara the doors are open to the possibility of making your dream jewel a reality.

Fariña y Almuzara is known for its large, colourful, contemporary statement jewellery, all of which is crafted in two workshops in Madrid. Rough gemstones placed alongside polished stones create a dynamic look, and you can be sure that anything displayed in this boutique will get you noticed. Clients can also commission their own made-to-measure jewellery and come in armed with their own ideas and designs.
