At the newly opened Watches Art Gallery there are horological creations from more than a dozen independent watchmakers, with prices going up into the hundreds of thousands of Swiss francs. The WAG was created by Philippe Sitbon and is supported by master watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and watch expert/retailer Denis Asch. Don't bother taking your wallet though, as you can't buy any of the watches in the gallery. The WAG is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote watchmaking as its own art form, with presentations, exhibitions, workshops and horological evenings that are open to the general public. If you do happen to have a coup de coeur for one of the creations, don't be afraid to make enquiries - the lovely people in the gallery will be able to put you in touch with the watchmaker in question.
