When it comes to watch and jewellery shopping, the Swiss city of Geneva attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, who flock to the shores of Lake Léman to buy directly from the source. For many, buying in Switzerland offers an additional assurance in terms of authenticity and service, as most of the brand boutiques are operated directly by the manufacturers. The Genevans have a great expression that says, Il n’y a pas le feu au lac, "the lake is not on fire", meaning that as long as Lake Léman isn’t on fire, there is no reason to hurry. This relaxed atmosphere is all part of the magical shopping experience.
