Nothing gets a girl in the party mood more than a fabulous pair of attention-arresting bright, outsized earrings. Being the jewels closest to your eyes, earrings add such a sense of occasion and are the things that people immediately see as they move with each shake of the head.
Because of their prominence, fine jewellery earrings are the most instant way to add glamour or change a look, and when I am choosing earrings I like ones that are full of colour and character. So here is my selection of three coloured gemstone earrings that I think you will love and want to wear to every party you go.
When talking about coloured gemstones, it is impossible not to think of Lydia Courteille jewellery - the Parisian designer who describes herself as “a poet in jewels”. Her wild imagination uses colour to add another dimension to the epic stories and fantastical worlds she creates in her jewels. In Lydia’s technicolour, highly cultured world, myths, magic, flora and fauna all intertwine in a fascinating narrative.
Lydia Courteille’s love of history, culture and art shines out in the Vendange Tardive earrings. Referring to the late harvest grapes that make the sweetest wine, these Lydia Courteille earrings weave in references to the Surrealist Movement, as well as the myth of Bacchus and his amethyst tear drops. Bright green tsavorites sparkle on vine leaves, while sapphires and diamonds surround the grapes, which are made of purple enamel.
I chose these show-stopping Chopard earrings from its Haute Joaillerie collection because I like the gypsy feel of the hoops and the bright combination of sky blue turquoises with sweet berry-ripe rubellites, diamonds and zesty tsavorites.
And if its colour you want then de GRISOGONO jewellery never disappoints and these vibrant candy-bright amethyst earrings have to be on my list of favourite party earrings of the year.
