There has been barely a moment's respite from the bad weather, but there was plenty to smile about on the red carpet on day two of the Cannes Film Festival.
Fan Bingbing looked adorable in a pale lemon Elie Saab dress and fairytale Chopard jewels, including diamond drop earrings ending in two cute hearts. I would happily trade in my whole wardrobe for this perfect ensemble - definitely the best look of the Cannes red carpet so far.
After swaggering her way through her first Cannes appearance on day one, Cara Delevingne didn't disappoint on the second day of the festival. Papped in a plunging black jacket - worn sans shirt, naturally - and accessorised with a swinging, diamond-encrusted Chopard pendant, it's great to see some feisty young blood at this historic event.
Statement earrings and necklaces seem to be winning in the style wars. Claire Julien, daughter of Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister, chose a hypnotic pair of diamond earrings by de Grisogono, while Fan Bingbing, for her second outfit change of the day, accessorised with a majestic diamond choker by Chopard. Meanwhile, Chinese superstar Ziyi Zhang, member of the Cannes jury, slicked back her hair in immaculate style so that all eyes were drawn to her stunning "Perles de Rosée" necklace by Chanel Fine Jewellery.
