Piaget takes us behind the scenes of their jewellery photoshoot

Behind the scenes at Piaget's campaign shot by Tim Walker reveals a world of sparkling jewels, roses and lots of big dresses.

Piaget, the Swiss watch and jewellery house, has created a campaign for its diamond jewels with 26 year old Russian model Sasha Pivovarova, photographed by London-born photographer Tim Walker.

The scene is set in an aristocrat's country house, maybe it's a French chateau, or perhaps it's a stately home in a beautiful corner of England or a Swiss baron's gently ageing pile. Sasha, our princess, walks through rose bushes blooming in the lush dew-touched garden and wafts through deserted ballrooms in billowing couture gowns. She lights candles on a chandelier and drapes herself against a large gilt picture frame.

The mood is young yet refers to a rich and privileged heritage that our princess is discovering. Three jewellery collections are showcased in the different shots and corresponding videos. Limelight, Possession and Piaget Rose inspire different moods and styles.

I had the chance to meet Sasha Pivovarova while she was in London for the launch of the campaign and the willowy thin, ivory-skinned beauty came along with her boyfriend who was willing to mingle in the background while Sasha spoke to Piaget clients and the press.

When I remarked at how different she looks in each shot, she told me that her grandmother never recognises her in magazines. Once when she was on the cover of a major glossy her grandmother looked through the entire magazine and proclaimed she couldn't she her Sasha anywhere.

There is no missing Sasha in these glorious pictures and videos that bring to life an enchanted world of roses, chandeliers, ball gowns and diamonds and it looks like every day is a beautiful day in Piaget's fairy-tale world.
