Oscars 2012 and who wore what at the 84th Academy Awards

The Artist may have won big, but see who all the red carpet winners were at this year's Oscars

Louis Vuitton Emma Stone Oscars

Inescapable to the last, the 84th Academy Awards once again pulled off the seemingly effortless coup of bringing together the very best in film glamour from all over the world, and with The Artist stealing the show as it did at the BAFTAs, a lot of that glamour came not from Hollywood, but from France. It went on to win Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Score and Best Costume Design. As usual it was a night quite like no other, the very pinnacle of Hollywood excitement, where stars from all mediums were given the chance to shine in their own unique way in that very unique place: the red carpet.

Chopard were winners too, with Best Director winner Michel Hazanavicius wearing the LUC XP Tonneau white gold watch with alligator strap, while his wife and Best Supporting Actress nominee Bérénice Bejo looked stunning in a pair of emerald and diamond drop earrings featuring two pear-shape 20ct emerald drops suspended from two 3ct emeralds and two pear-shape 4ct white diamonds, set in both platinum and white gold. Bejo also sported a brilliant-cut 6ct diamond ring set in white gold. Even Uggie the adorable co-star sported a one-of-a-kind bow tie designed by Chopard's Caroline Scheufele. Although not nominated for her performance in The Artist, Missi Pyle also took to the red carpet with Chopard wearing a pair of pear-shape 16ct diamond chandelier earrings, diamond necklace featuring over 80 white diamonds (34cts) and a five-row 9ct diamond ring, all set in platinum.

There to present rather than receive awards this year, the irrepressibly gorgeous Penelope Cruz chose Chopard too, wearing a pear-shape 56ct diamond necklace, 15ct diamond cluster earrings and fancy-shape 43ct diamond line bracelet, all set in platinum. Best Supporting Actress Nominee Melissa McCarthy looked delightful in Chopard chandelier earrings featuring pear-shape 10ct white diamonds set in platinum, coupled with pink diamonds pave-set in rose gold, and a brilliant-cut pink tourmaline 24ct cocktail ring, set with over 500 white diamonds in white gold. Although she didn't walk away with a little golden statue, it was lovely to see the Bridesmaids star in the limelight for a thoroughly deserved nomination. Finally Chopard came together with fashion designer Georgina Chapman as she wore their marquise-cut 22ct diamond cluster earrings and a fancy-shape diamond line bracelet featuring over 100 white diamonds (60cts).

Best Actor winner Jean Dujardin and his lovely wife, French Actress Alexandra Lamy both made sure this was a night they wouldn't forget whilst he wore Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea watch and Lamy a delightful Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie watch from 1960, with covered white gold case and platinum bracelet with 106 diamonds. Dujardin's Memovox tribute is limited to only 959 pieces and is no doubt the ideal addition to his ever-growing collection of Best Actor awards for this perfectly realised tribute to silent cinema.

Elsewhere the redheaded wonder and Best Supporting Actress nominee Emma Stone wore Louis Vuitton bracelet, earrings, and sequin embroidered clutch to Sunday's Academy Awards. The bracelet is from their 2012 high jewellery collection, whilst the earrings are of white gold set with red spinels and diamonds, part of Louis Vuitton's L'Ame du Voyage high jewellery collection. Although she lost out to the fabulous Octavia Spencer who co-starred with Stone in The Help, expect to see a whole lot more of this fantastically talented and splendid actress as she stars in the upcoming summer blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man.
