The Duchess of Cambridge is flying the flag for British design once again on her whirlwind tour of New York and Washington.

Recycling one of her favourite pieces of jewellery, Kate was spotted wearing a pair of familiar Annoushka pearl earrings paired with the military-style Washington coat by luxury cashmere brand Goat during a visit to Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem.

It is not the first time that the pearl earrings have earned a place in the Duchess' Royal Tour suitcase. She wore the gold Baroque pearl drops several times during the Australian tour last spring.

Famous for her thrifty sense of style, Kate has wowed America with her very British wardrobe, including a midnight blue gown by Jenny Packham that she has worn twice before to high-profile events.
