Easter jewels to put a spring in your step

Forget giant chocolate eggs and think bejewelled bunnies and dinky spring chicks instead with our round-up of the best jewels to see in the new season.

Rather than gorging on giant chocolate eggs this Easter, wouldn't you rather indulge in some spring-themed jewels instead? Renowned for her surreal creations, Lydia Courteille's new capsule collection, "Lapin Rose", features bejewelled bunnies and some mega-watt gemstones. The Parisian designer loves creating unique fantasy worlds in which each of her jewels tells a story. Follow Courteille down the rabbit hole and discover an Alice in Wonderland-style world where bunnies wear coats of pavé pink tourmalines and sapphires, and bright fuchsia gemstones descend from their pompom tails.

No Easter story would be complete without mentioning Fabergé, creator of the most iconic eggs in the world. This spring, the fine jeweller is launching a special project called "Egg Miles", which has seen Turner Prize-nominated artist Ian Davenport create an exclusive artwork for the tail of a VistaJet plane. And from 27 March, if you're travelling as a VistaJet passenger, you will also be able to purchase an exclusive collection of Fabergé Fine Jewellery egg pendants on selected routes.

Lions and tigers have already appeared on Theo Fennell's 'Arts pendants, and for Easter they are joined by some super-cute bunnies to celebrate the start of springtime. Or go for the low-calorie Easter egg option with Fennell's fun Birds Nest Earrings, which portray blue tits tending their nests of tiny, hand-carved chalcedony eggs. For a dinky Easter present idea, Links of London's egg charms are available in a variety of colours and crack open to reveal a miniature chick.
