Dark, delightful and devilishly fun, there is a wide variety of jewels out there to encourage your mischievous side this Halloween. Theo Fennell, Lydia Courteille, iKuria and Astley Clarke all have spooky offerings that are ideal for Hallows' Eve.

With a wicked sense of humour and an imagination to match, Theo Fennell's Fright Night collection uses gold, diamonds and spinels to ghoulish effect. Anyone familiar with his work will find the skulls and devilish imagery perfectly at home with previous pieces. Bold blocks of colouring are used throughout - standout pieces include the white gold, black, grey and white diamond Archer Ring and the white gold, ruby and diamond Devil Art Pendant, set with bright red rubies that bring the heart to pulsating life.

If Theo Fennell's Fright Night is more akin to traditional Halloween motifs, Paris-based Lydia Courteille's pieces take on a French New Orleans look. The Day of the Dead bleeds through many of the pieces, in particular the dark, blackened-gold skeletons from her Vanities collection. The jewellery from Courteille's Black Mass in Paris collection brings us back into more familiar territory, with blackened gold bats spreading their black diamond and ruby-set wings over rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants.

Although not strictly made for Halloween, both Astley Clarke and Ikuko Kurahone's iKuria have pieces that would be make the perfect accompaniment to a night of ghoulish fun. The iKuria Catch ring sees a delicately crafted spider web ensnaring clusters of sparkling pave diamonds. Astley Clarke's new Menagerie collection features splendidly realised pendants in the form of British animals from Aesop's fables, each hand-carved in miniature and married with its own gemstone.

Whether you believe you're never too old to go trick or treating or are simply game for a good scare, these Halloween jewels will outshine even the brightest jack-o'-lanterns.
