Brazilian jewellery designer Carla Amorim has injected the vibrant colours and relentless energy of her native country into her latest jewellery collection.

Carla's work is inspired by Brazil's abundant nature, the architect Oscar Niemeyer and her own Catholic faith. Born in Brasilia, the city of Oscar Niemeyer's groundbreaking modern architecture, Amorim often incorporates the geometric lines of the great architect into her jewels, which are then brought to life with vibrant or delicate pastel-coloured gemstones.

Following last year's Rio collection, this time it is the turn of Brazilian city Sao Paulo. The collection features pieces in yellow, rose and white gold with black rhodium and various combinations of white and black diamonds. Sapphires and emeralds add vibrant bursts of carnival hues to the pieces.

From delicate geometric lines to dazzling stained glass earrings and chunky cocktail rings, the flavours, smells and colours of Brazil's largest city have been translated into elegant yet very wearable jewels.
