Iron Maiden’s Nicko McBrain talks jewellery

Now I am not a big fan of heavy metal but when by chance, I happened to find myself shoe-horned into my Eurostar seat, next to Iron Maiden, the legendary rockers, I knew fortune was smiling on me. Never one to miss a chance, though feeling rather prim, out came my handy HD Canon G12 for an on the spot interview with Nicko McBrain, one of the world's best rock drummers. Find out what jewellery Nicko likes to wear.

Iron Maiden coming off the Eurostar in Paris, 26th January 2011

Now I am not a big fan of heavy metal but when by chance, I happened to find myself shoe-horned into my Eurostar seat, next to Iron Maiden, the legendary rockers, I knew fortune was smiling on me. Never one to miss a chance, though feeling rather prim, out came my handy HD Canon G12 for an on the spot interview with Nicko McBrain, one of the world's best rock drummers. Find out what jewellery Nicko likes to wear. I am glad that I plucked up the courage to talk to the four band members who were having a good chin wag on their way to rehearsals in Paris. What I really wanted to know is why these guys weren't wearing more jewellery? Nicko was the one who was up for the interview. Steve Harris, the most reserved of the four on the train, joined in the banter and watch the video to see how these guys like to have a laugh.Once my camera was put away, we carried on chatting and the four of them were real gents and signed my notebook. They even shared out their chewing gum with me, bless. And then we had a good chat about keeping fit for concerts (lots of Berroca according to Dave) and training in the gym says, Yanick. Though Nicko is still up for a night of fun, the other three tried to convince me that the rockn'roll lifestyle is the stuff of myth. I am going to download their latest album, Final Frontier, as a show of support for these guys who changed my views on head banging, heavy metal.
