Automatic movement

An automatic or self-winding watch is a mechanical movement, which doesn’t require any winding, and is charged through the natural motion of the wearer’s arm, rather than by winding the crown. If it is not worn for a couple of days, the automatic movement will need to be wound by hand to get it started again.
