If you're looking to find an engagement ring that captures the promise of early spring, we have gathered together a beautiful bouquet of unique engagement rings with sparkling floral motifs that will never wilt.

As the spring buds start to burst into bloom, what could be more perfect than an intricately formed, diamond-studded petal.

These alternative engagement rings will suit brides-to-be who want something unique that still retains a classic feel. Floral motifs are also a great way of subtly incorporating more than one diamond into your engagement ring without the design looking out of proportion.

For a floral extravaganza of the most luxurious kind, the House of Dior comes up trumps with its unique engagement rings featuring realistically shaped diamond roses attached to stalks that form a band around your finger. The rose was Christian Dior's favourite flower and this ring - together with all the jewels in the Rose Dior Bagatelle collection - was inspired by the stunning rose garden in the Parc de Bagatelle in Paris. The precious stones have been set using a technique known as 'two-bead' setting, where the stones are placed so tightly together that the gold between them is almost completely concealed. For something more understated, the Adonis Rose engagement ring from De Beers subtly incorporates elements of this elegant bloom.

From the appropriately named Petal collection by Kwiat is a unique engagement ring that would make a great alternative to a classic cluster ring, with a round diamond surrounded by bezel and prong-set "petals", while the feminine Passionflower engagement ring from Boodles is a fairytale creation, combining central round brilliant-cut diamonds with a further 1.00ct of smaller diamonds.

Chanel gives the floral engagement ring a stylish twist, with pavé diamonds looping their way around the Maison's iconic camelia motif - Mademoiselle Chanel's favourite flower - while the pretty Louis Vuitton ring from the new Monogram Fusion collection recreates the floral element of its famous monogram pattern using the maison's patented flower diamond cut.

New York jeweller Harry Winston also has a famous floral design that has been in the house's archives since the 1950s: the Sunflower. The fiery sparkle of brilliant-cut diamonds captures this staple of summer in full bloom on a range of Sunflower engagement rings, forming a majestic floral pattern that would be perfect for a warm-weather wedding.
