Game set and a perfect match with this striking Taylor and Hart yellow diamond engagement ring

Jeweller Taylor and Hart serves up the perfect engagement ring for Wimbledon fans with this rare yellow diamond ring, designed to resemble a tennis ball.

Brilliant white diamonds form a curve over the 2.00ct fancy yellow diamond in Rare Pink's engagement ring, making it resemble a tennis ball.

Andy Murray's hopes of defending his title as Wimbledon champion have been sensationally dashed, but if the tennis ace wants to lift his spirits by proposing to long-term girlfriend Kim Sears, we have found the perfect ring.

An ace ring for tennis fanatics with an intense two-carat yellow diamond, Taylor and Hart proves that perfect matches can be played off the grassy courts of Wimbledon. The extremely rare yellow diamond, similar in colour to a tennis ball, is conceived as an engagement ring and offset with a flourish of smaller white diamonds.

The 'will they, won't they' speculation has been rife in the run-up to the championships, but Murray has remained characteristically tight-lipped about any plans to pop the question.

But this tennis-inspired engagement ring could be the one to push him in the right direction. Designed to look like a bright yellow tennis ball, it features a very rare two-carat intense yellow diamond as the central stone. The platinum ring is also adorned with 1.50 carat of smaller diamonds, both in the setting and the shank. The rarity of the central diamond means the ring would fetch a cool £80,000 if it were sold on the open market.

The ring was designed by London-based jeweller Taylor and Hart, which specialises in custom designed and ready-to-wear engagements rings, set with ethically sourced GIA graded diamonds. Every custom-made order over £3,000 comes with a free pink diamond that can be set into the ring or supplied separately.

Help us make the future bright

Since founding The Jewellery Editor in 2010, we have grown our digital magazine to be the number one global source of information and inspiration for fine jewellery and luxury watches.

3,500 articles, 150 videos with over 5 million views and a reach of over 2 million per month on social media later, we have offered unparalleled and highly respected coverage of our sector. However, despite our editorial success, we are financially struggling as an independent publisher.

Entirely funded, owned and run by Christine and Maria in London, we are now looking to sell The Jewellery Editor so that it can continue to grow. As e-commerce becomes a priority in our industry, we believe there is huge potential for engaging editorial content and are seeking a buyer who shares our values and passion so that under their guidance we can give a bright future to the platform and help us grow our business to the next stage.
